Growing up in the 90’s was pretty awesome. I ate my ice cream from the ice cream truck that sang down our street (until my parents decided that the best defense against me ever dating was moving to a place where we didn’t have neighbors…I am sure they would tell you that their plan didn’t work out so well), while wearing my OshKosh B’Gosh overalls with a variation of either saddle shoes, penny loafers (pennies included), or jelly sandals and listening to Spice Girls on my walkman. The good ole’ days.
This spring you will be seeing some of your old favorites making a stiff comeback. Flared and wide legged jeans are back in, embroidered bell sleeves (where are my 70’s peeps at!?). Bright colors from the 80’s are rising up again, and you better believe that overalls are BACK (they were never really gone in my opinion).
Of course, upon seeing the style report I had to introduce my daughter to her very first pair. Unfortunately, we still don’t have an ice cream truck in our neighborhood. But the local creamery is a pretty great substitute if you ask Lilly.

I paired our overalls with striped shirts. Lilly’s has ruffles, mine has bell sleeves taking our basic t-shirts up to the next level. I, of course, couldn’t resist buying Lilly a pair of Sperrys to match mine. They are great shoes to have for transitioning from winter to spring.
