I was that girl in grade school with the “unique” hair styles. You know, the multi-colored butterfly clips, the comb headbands, the colorful scrunchies and a hair crimper that was used WAY too frequently.

Once I learned that having a head full of rainbow sparkly butterfly clips wasn’t doing much for me, I went through a major headband obsession that never really went away.

Even in college, I rocked a headband on the days I didn’t feel like styling my hair.

Why is any of this relevant? Because hair accessories are BACK, better than ever as one of spring’s hottest trends.

Talk about throwing it back to my grade school days, and I’m not mad about it! I have fully embraced this spring trend, and am sharing my top picks that will let you test this trend without breaking the bank.

Headbands:

I instantly fell in love with the knot style headbands. This pink gingham one will be a staple in my wardrobe this spring. I also love the pearl detail headbands but the designer ones sell for a womping $150. Don’t worry, I found one that is under $15!

Barrettes and Clips:

I love these dainty pearl barrettes that are popping up everywhere right now. They are a great way to utilize natural hair texture, or even hide slightly dirty hair in between washes and add a subtle and feminine detail to a classic hairstyle.

Scarves:

There are so many ways to incorporate scarves into hairstyles. Tie them like a headband. Add them to the end of a half-up look (pictured here) or a ponytail. Wrap them around a polished bun, or weave them into your braid! I love that one scarf can make hundreds of different hairstyles!

Scrunchies:

Scrunchies are the easiest hair accessory to wear. Wear them as you would any normal hair tie, or layer over top of a style like a bun…or if you aren’t wearing one in your hair, rock one around your wrist!

Which hair accessory are you most excited to try? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Kalyn
