Outfits For Your Mini Valentine
Pictures from our Valentine’s Day date with Lilly last year. She was so little! They grow up too quickly.
Lilly was eight months old on her first Valentine’s Day. I bought her an adorable outfit, found a cute Valentine’s Day themed baby book, bought her (myself) some chocolate, and was about to call it a day until I thought of an idea. That Valentine’s Day, and every one since, I made it a tradition to write her a letter that I add to a collection that one day when the time is right, I will give to her.
I thought my idea was special, then Alex walks through the door with two bouquets of flowers. One for me and one for his eight-month-old. He definitely does Valentine’s Day better than I do.
Another way we celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family is by going on a family “date”. We typically go to a Pittsburgh museum like the Children’s Museum. One year we did the Aviary, this past year we bought tickets to see Disney On Ice with Lilly. It’s our special date, and Alex and I have been already discussing what our plans are this year.
Obviously, Lilly needs to look adorable on her date, so I am always searching for the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit for her.
The tights, shoes and heart skirt are from Gymboree. I have found all of my favorite Valentine’s Day outfits for Lilly there over the years. I am also loving the Cat & Jack line at Target right now.
