Happy 2025!

I feel like the past year flashed before my eyes and then was over. I remember my parents always saying that the older you get, the faster the years go by. That sure has rang true for me, especially as my kids get involved in more activities and I feel like all I am doing is just trying to remember it all and keep up. I am going to try to work on slowing down a bit more in 2025!

My word for 2025 is ‘PRIORITIZE’ and I think ‘INTENTION’ goes along with it, one thing I have tried to do since starting my blog in 2017 is intentionally share women-owned businesses and brands with you. I feel like each year I am able to do so more and more, and think 2024 mostly consisted of women-founded businesses, and I am so proud. It is an honor to work alongside amazing women who balance family, the intricacies of running a business, and are incredible ladies to boot.

One woman-owned business that I want to kick off 2025 highlighting is Maria Rosella Photo and Film. I have known Maria since our girls were toddlers and we met at our local gym. She is the mom to three beautiful children, and makes balancing a photography business while being the most amazing mom look effortless.

We were able to work with her over the holiday season in her new studio in Ligonier that just opened alongside The Pop-Up Collective (where we hosted Lilly’s gingerbread house party).

Maria’s new studio location is just a quick walk to the diamond and quaint gazebo of Ligonier. I love that this allows for flexibility when it comes to weather, and gives you the opportunity to work with her to make the session exactly what you want. We split our time evenly in studio and in town and I love how these pictures turned out. It was a very busy day in our little town but you would never know it from the amazing pictures Maria captured of our family!

Maria’s editing is soft and light so I opted for neutral outfits that would be perfect for year-round photos. I love that the colorway is also perfect for our home making these pictures perfect for framing and showing off!

Maria’s studio uses natural light to capture pictures and I love how light and airy they feel. They truly match the aesthetic of my home and life, and feel like it won’t be long before these pictures are in frames all over my home.

We opted for a cream base for our outfits and mixed in some taupe/tan and gold accents to make it feel holiday but also perfect for pictures year-round!
