Mommy and Me Outfits | Winter Edition
Hi, Lovelies!
It’s cold. I woke up this morning to the thermometer reading in at FOUR degrees. A friend of mine told me that her husband bought her a heated jacket for Christmas. At this moment in time, I am pretty sure that sounds like the best invention ever.
This time of year can sometimes feel like it lasts forever. We start bringing our sweaters out in September and sometimes where them into late May. As much as I love my summer wardrobe, it often is much more practical to buy pieces that can transition from fall into winter then back into spring temps.
That is why I am sharing my favorite (and practical) winter wardrobe staples that keep me cute and cozy all “cold season” long. The best part? I am sharing the mini-sized versions that match!
My Most-Worn Boots:
When it comes to winter in PA, there is no questioning that boots are essential the three I wear most frequently are:
- Hunter Boots: I have them in a few colors because they can be worn year-round. They also have fleece linings you can buy to wear them throughout the winter months.
- Sorel Boots: When waterproof meets a great tread on the sole of the shoe meets STYLE. These are warm, waterproof, have great traction and are cute!
- Sperry Duck Boots: Waterproof, easier to move around in than a tall winter boot and perfect for fall, too!
Winter Coats:
When it comes to winter coats, there are three categories I think that are essential.
- Waterproof/Down Coat: This can also include a ski jacket if you are a winter sports enthusiast
- Casual Coat: Something that can be worn easily on the run
- “Dressier” Coat: A nice coat for a night out, to wear for
church , or any other special occasion
Winter Accessories:
- Pom Hats are a favorite in our house
- Cabin or Fleece Socks
- “Glittens” or Mittens that transition into fingerless mittens
- Mommy and Me matching scarves
Other Favorites:
