Gift Guide for Dogs

I don’t know about your pets, but our dog, Maggie, believes she is one of the siblings. She won’t leave our baby’s side if I leave the room for a moment, she lets Lilly sleep on top of her…basically, she’s the best member of our family. There isn’t anything sweeter than our Maggie and she deserves a special Christmas just like the rest of us.

True story: Lilly went Christmas shopping with her grandparents the other day and bought Maggie a toy. She wrapped it and put it under the tree. Maggie is one of those dogs who NEVER gets into anything. Even as a puppy I think she chewed up maybe one pair of slippers and never did so again. We really got lucky…but as I was leaving my office yesterday I caught a glimpse at the toy Maggie was playing with. As soon as I called her out on it…she immediately slunk over to the corner of the room. She had OPENED one gift and it was the gift Lilly had bought her. How she knew that gift was for her is beyond me but it was too funny/shocking to even be mad since SHE NEVER (and I mean NEVER) does things like that. So I quietly rewrapped the toy…and Lilly will never know! I guess Maggie isn’t a fan of waiting for surprises!
