My Favorite Fitness and Wellness Finds | At-home workouts | Athletic Wear | Workouts Exercise Run

Happy Friday, Lovelies!

I thought I would share some of my favorite ‘Fitness and Wellness Favorites’ that I have been using daily and LOVING lately. Are you back in the gym yet? I am still teaching my daily Boot Camp classes live on Zoom every morning. I just don’t feel ready to be breathing heavily in a close space with others or to wear a face mask while working out. So… I have been getting really creative at home and I am not going to lie…I KIND OF LOVE HOME WORKOUTS.

So, to help send some fun fitness motivation your way, I thought I would share some of my favorite fitness apparel, at-home equipment, recovery drinks, and tools I use to help me stay on track throughout the week!

My Favorite Fitness and Wellness Finds:

Blender Bombs Granola So Bomb:

My favorite snack when I am looking for some extra CRUNCH. I top my smoothies with it, I eat it on the go. It’s very light and not too sweet. I love that it is Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Dairy-Free! I order this stuff in bulk and have it auto-shipped to me because I. AM. ADDICTED.

Spanx Activewear:

A few years ago, I bought my first pair of Spanx Faux-Leather Leggings, and my life changed forever. I always used to think Spanx was just shapewear but NO WAY. From their amazing jeans to their new ACTIVEWEAR…I love it all! I wear their black activewear leggings all the time. They stay in place (just like I like em to) and I love the high-waist. I also rock their workout sets throughout the week. My favorites are the camo crop top and leggings and the leopard print bike shorts and sports bra!

nuun Hydration Tablets:

For those of you who don’t know, I am a marathon runner! I have had issues with certain sugar syrups and food dyes, and for YEARS, I would be afraid to in-take Gatorade at the fueling stations throughout my marathon races. When I did drink a Gatorade or a sports drink mix, I would instantly feel sick to my stomach and the feeling wouldn’t go away for DAYS after the race. Around my third marathon, I was introduced to nuun tablets. They have been a true game-changer for my race and every day workout hydration. I pop one of the tabs into my water and off I go. I love the fizz and LOVE that compared to most sports drinks, they are not filled with tons of sugar…only 1g in fact!

Renpho Scale:

I bought this scale a little over two years ago and use it daily. I used to barely weigh myself because it would end up frustrating me. I love that this scale comes with an app that lets you track your overall numbers as well as your body fat%. You can also input your food and exercise into the app to help you figure out what calorie intake you should be at.

Vital Proteins Recover:

I swear I am not one of those people who is gluten-free, dairy-free, everything-free but I do know how my body reacts to certain things and another popular recovery drink I have had MAJOR issues with is whey protein. I get bloated instantly after intaking any form of milk-based protein. When I learned you can increase your protein intake with collagen, I gave it a try, and it’s been one of those things (like nuun tabs) that I am so happy I found! I love every single product Vital Proteins carries from their Matcha Collagen to these Recover drinks! They have collagen and BCAA’s that help your muscles recover post-workout! I also love that these drinks have a full dose of Magnesium and Zinc in them-great for immunity which is so important during these uncertain times!

Resistance Bands:

I have been looking for 15 and 20 lb. dumbbells since March. So…since I can’t push the weight I would like to when strength training, I have gotten really creative with these resistance bands! The ones I am sharing here are great because they don’t slip or roll-up like some of the other ones do when you are exercising! Head to my Instagram today for a full resistance band workout using these bands!

Rebounder:

AKA adult trampoline! Just a little backstory, two winters ago, I started swelling like crazy. Every night my legs and feet would swell so much that you couldn’t see space between my toes. Many (many) doctors’ appointments later, they finally found that I have Hypothyroidism and think I might have some sort of rheumatic disorder like Lupus. After learning this, I made some major changes to my diet and lifestyle. One was decreasing the intensity and increasing the time of some of my workouts to help with the painful swelling. I would go for longer, slower runs versus insane HIITS.

Then I heard about “rebounding” which helps you burn insane amounts of calories without the crazy resistance/impact running does. So I bought a rebounder and started doing YouTube workouts to replace my runs twice a week. Guess what? NO MORE SWELLING! I swear by this trampoline. I get results without the pain!

ThermaFlask:

This water bottle keeps your water ICE COLD for hours. I drink a full one of these before I drink my coffee every morning then get creative and make different flavored waters to drink throughout the day like lemon, lime/cucumber, lime/mint, etc. Carrying this around with me keeps me on track with drinking enough water throughout the day.

Goodr Running Sunglasses:

These are NOT just for running. These are for anything active. I bought my first pair several summers ago. They are the only sunglasses I have ever worn that I don’t notice when they are on. They are so lightweight and comfy. I always have a pair with me whether they are in my car, on a run, or just walking around our neighborhood. I love their colorful frames but also have a tortoise pair that my daughter calls my “classy sunglasses”.

I hope these favorites become yours too, and help you add a little fun into your health and fitness routines!

Happy Friday!

xoxo,

Kalyn
