On my 21st birthday, my mom surprised me with a vintage Lilly Pulitzer Bermuda bag handle and bag ‘cover’ to go with it. It was one of my favorite gifts ever. The covers are reversible making the bag versatile and fun.
This year for Mother’s Day, I was trying to find the perfect gift for my mom when I came across Joanna of Bermuda Bag Lady’s Instagram page. SHE MAKES COVERS (and so so much more) for these highly coveted vintage handles. I messaged her immediately to see if she could make a new reversible cover for my mom’s handle.
It was the perfect gift, and I couldn’t believe how many ladies at The Pink Retreat asked me about our vintage Lilly Pulitzer handles and covers.
One of my favorite parts of social media is the special friendships that I have created from it. Joanna is one of the most amazing people I know and I feel so fortunate to have connected with her over our common love of Lilly Pulitzer.
She is so incredibly sweet that she surprised Lilly for her birthday with the most special vintage-inspired mini cover handle she even found a way to put a matching palm tree emblem into the wood of Lilly’s handle so it looks like an authentic Lilly handle. It is simply incredible.
She also found the cutest vintage Lilly Pulitzer zoo print fabric to make one side Lilly’s cover (and made me a matching cover) and the other side of our covers are the 2019 Koala Me Maybe print THAT MATCHES MY MOM’S NEW COVER.
I am just so touched and feel so special that Joanna surprised us with such special gifts that my family will cherish forever.
