Americana Inspired Summer Outfits
I can’t believe summer is just around the corner. It has been a chilly May here in Pennsylvania, but with school out next week and sunny weather on the horizon, I thought I would round-up my favorite classic, Americana-inspired styles that are great additions to any summer wardrobe. When I worked as a stylest for Stitch Fix, I always loved putting together the perfect summer style box filled with classics like blue and white stripes, crisp linen pieces, and a pop of red. These styles are of course great for holidays like Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, but they also represent a rich history of classic Americana-inspired summer style. Whether you are headed to the cape, the farmer’s market, or the golf course this summer, this blog post is the perfect guide for classic summer styles that you will wear again and again for many summers to come.
Americana-inspired Summer Styles:
A great white dress is a wardrobe staple that should be in every closet. I love this crisp seersucker halter one that you can easily dress up or down. Of course you know I wear blue and white all year long, and summer is no exception. A great navy and white smocked dress is always in rotation. Style it with this cute wicker bag and an American flag sweater for some patriotic flare. You can also style the sweater with a great pair of denim shorts.
If you are looking for Americana dresses with a flare, I am loving this red, white, and blue striped mini dress and this ric rac dress. Style these dresses with fun accessories like a pair of blue and white rattan heels, red sunnies, or a cute striped bucket bag.
Whether you are aiming for under par or a good golf look, I love this navy and white golf dress that has the cutest red trim. I also love this active dress that is perfect for tennis, pickleball, or keeping up with your kids.
