Mommy And Me Outfits: Mustard Yellow Accents
Burgundy, jewel-tone greens, and purples, mustard yellow; between these rich pops of fall color and textures like tweed, suede, velvet, and flannel, it’s easy to get lost when trying to put together the perfect fall outfit. One thing that I have learned over the years is that “less is more”. Since college, I have tried to build my wardrobe with classic neutral staples that can create many different curated looks.
The outfits that Lilly and I are wearing are perfect examples. I started with a neutral navy color. I added classic cognac pieces as the accessories, then used mustard accents to bring the look together.
I love matching Lilly, but sometimes feel like the looks specifically designed to match can be a little bit too over the top for me. That’s why I love this look. The colors work together to create cohesive Mommy and Me looks!
Lilly loves matching me! Anytime I am getting dressed, she wants to know where her matching outfit is! Being 100% honest, I am taking full advantage of it while it lasts. Her personality constantly reminds me of myself at that age, and I already know it’s only a matter of time before she is too cool to twin with her mommy.
