Riding Into The Weekend with Holiday Flair
I think in every family there is at least one tradition that just accidentally happened but has since become a cherished part of the holiday season.
Last year I decorated my bike for Christmas. When the weather is nice, I like to ride it around town or to the local trail where I run. It’s been one of my all-time favorite gifts that I ever received.
Decorating it just adds a special flair to the holiday season. I never thought it would become a tradition, but this year, Lilly asked if she could decorate her bike for Christmas.
We grabbed some lights, bows, and garland and went to work decorating our bikes.
On the first snow of the year, we headed out to our favorite place to ride bikes, turned on our Christmas lights and played Christmas music from my portable speaker.
Lilly was so proud of her decorating and insisted I play ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ five times in a row.
We finished our bike adventures with hot cocoa and a Christmas movie in our jammies!
