Happy Monday, Lovelies!

I hope your week is off to a great start! When I was brainstorming posts for 2020, I realized I haven’t shared much in the beauty department lately. This blog post will share a dedicated outline of my daily skincare routine as well as my makeup routine and all of the products I use for each. I hope you find it helpful!

I have really had to step up my skincare as I quickly approach 30 this year. Skincare is definitely trial and error and finding what works best for you, so I thought I would share some of my tried and true products and the steps that I take to make sure each product is used effectively.

Daily Skincare Routine:

My morning skincare regimen is slightly different than my evening skincare routine, but I wanted to share my evening skincare with you because it is more in-depth so be sure to take note of what you shouldn’t use in the mornings.

  • Step 1: Cleanse your face. My favorite cleanser is Peter Thomas Roth’s Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel.
  • Step 2: Mask- I use a different mask several times a week. My favorites are the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, GLAMGLOW Charcoal Mask, First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads and the Peace Out Puffy Eyes under-eye masks.
  • Step 3: Finish cleaning pores with a toner. My all-time favorite is Murad’s Clarifying Toner that is on sale right now!
  • Step 4: Layer serums from lightest to heaviest (whichever is in the thinnest liquid form is what you should start with). For me, I start with The Ordinary 0.5% Retinol serum. Retinol is great but only in small doses. Try to find something that is 0.2-0.5% in the colder months and 1-2% in the summer months. My next serum is from The Ordinary as well and it’s the Zinc + Niacinamide one. Then I finish my serums with a Hyaluronic Acid and an undereye cream like Clinique’s Pep-Start one.
  • Step 5: Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I used to think that if I had acne it was because of oil, therefore I needed to punish my skin by dehydrating it. WRONG. Acne is often caused by dry skin, so make sure you moisturize. My favorite is Peter Thomas Roth’s Cloud Cream but especially in the summer, I use Cetaphil’s SPF Moisturizer to keep my skin safe from the sun.
  • Step 6: Lock everything in with Rose Hip Oil. I just started doing this recently and HELLO GAME CHANGER! It has transformed my face. It locks in all the nutrition from your serums and keeps your skin moisturized!
  • Step 7: I finish my skincare routine with a lash serum (I also put it on my brows). I have hypothyroidism so I notice hair loss in my lashes and brows. GrandeLash MD is my favorite lash serum. They have a brow serum too but I use the lash one on both my eyelashes and brows. My last mini step is putting on a lip mask like the Laneige one. My lips get so dry in the winter and this has really helped keep them healthy!

For my morning routine, I cleanse, tone and moisturize then lock everything in with the Rose Hip Oil!

The best part of this skincare routine is that EVERYTHING I USE IS 20-25% OFF RIGHT NOW!
